All melt and pour soap bases are made using Glycerine as it's main ingredient. The soap may sweat and develop a layer of white, crystalised moisture on it's surface. This is perfectly safe and harmless, this is the Glycerine attracting moisture from the air to the bar, as with what happens when you wash your skin with Glycerine rich soaps. This is typical behavior from Melt & Pour Soap Bases. To prevent this from occurring they need to be stored in air tight bags, containers or shrink wrapped if you're planning to gift or sell

Enjoy a non-toxic, eco friendly & no nasties Melt & Pour soap base, Made from Coconut oils & Vegetable Glycerine. Safe DIY for the whole family. Can be used as is or Simply cut, melt, add your desired essential oil, botanicals, extracts & clays then pour into soap moulds, set, unmould & enjoy!

 

Bases will be sold in tamper evident, recycled PET plastic containers. These are fully recyclable, hygienic and an eco friendly way to package soap bases

 

Ways to melt;

* Microwave : Add soap base into microwave safe glass or plastic container in 5-10 second bursts until fully melted. Do not overheat for long periods, you can heat up to 100C to ensure fluidity, add your colours and fragrance then pour in a timely manner

* Double Boiler : Add soap base into heat safe glass or stainless steel container and place over boiling water until fully melted

  • Slow Cooker / Crock pot : Add soap base to pot & put on low setting until base is fully melted
