All melt and pour soap bases are made using Glycerine as it's main ingredient. The soap may sweat and develop a layer of white, crystalised moisture on it's surface. This is perfectly safe and harmless, this is the Glycerine attracting moisture from the air to the bar, as with what happens when you wash your skin with Glycerine rich soaps. This is typical behaviour from Melt & Pour Soap Bases. To prevent this from occurring they need to be stored in air tight bags, containers or shrink wrapped if you're planning to gift or sell

Bases will be sold in tamper evident, recycled PET plastic containers. These are fully recyclable, hygienic and an eco friendly way to package soap bases

 

Ways to melt;

* Microwave : Add soap base into microwave safe glass or plastic container in 5-10 second bursts until fully melted. Do not overheat, keep at or under 75C

* Double Boiler : Add soap base into heat safe glass or stainless steel container and place over boiling water until fully melted

* Slow Cooker / Crock pot : Add soap base to pot & put on low setting until base is fully melted

King of suds uses the superior cold process method, an ancient traditional style of soap making

Triple milled soap and cold process soap are distinct types of soap made through different processes, resulting in varying characteristics. Triple milled soap is made by removing glycerine and other moisture, producing a dense, long-lasting bar with a luxurious, foamy lather. Cold process soap retains glycerine, creating a creamy, lotion-like lather that can be more moisturizing for dry or sensitive skin. 

Triple Milled Soap:

Process: Soap is made, then glycerine is removed, and the soap is milled multiple times to create a dense bar.

Characteristics: Dense, long-lasting, produces a bubbly, foamy lather.

Moisture: Lower moisture content due to glycerine removal.

Lather: Foamy and luxurious.

Suited for: Deep cleansing, shaving, or those who prefer a bubbly lather.

Example: Commercial brands, French milled soaps. 

Cold Process Soap:

Process: Ingredients are mixed and allowed to cure, retaining glycerine.

Characteristics: Creamy, lotion-like lather, natural humectant properties, higher moisture content.

Moisture: Retains glycerine, a natural moisturizing agent.

Lather: Creamy and moisturizing.

Suited for: Dry or sensitive skin, those who prioritize hydration.
